We are nearing release of our FAMAS type receivers! Naturally, Virginia has complicated all this, so, here is more information regarding both topics and how this will work.
Virginia customers
When emailing, we request you do the following:
-if you have emailed us before, just continue your existing email chain please and ignore the subject line
-if you haven't emailed us on this topic, put "FAMAS VA" in the subject line
-get us your FFL's information ASAP
-we will be in contact regarding payment, setting up the order, etc.
-please have the serial number of your kit on hand if you are using that. More information below.
At the moment our final ship date is Monday. Until then we will attempt to manufacture more/fill orders, but we do not have many available as this was a rush as is.
That gives 6 weekdays days of time for them to arrive to your FFL, be logged in and ready to transferred. More if they are open on weekends.
Standard Operations
What we plan to do for the rest of these
Unlike our AK receiver products - these will be produced in batches, not the usual timelines ("x to x" weeks). A batch will be made available for sale, each will be done according to each customer's choice, and then sent out, probably within a week or so of ordering, accounting for painting time. We will post when another batch will be ready to be made available. These take much more time than AK stampings and we can't run them 24/7.
Finishes
Finished receivers will be available in the future, however anything in the VA rush will all be unpainted. We will be able to offer the standard paint for any that want that later on.
Serial
Custom serials are standard for these, and an authentic font has been created to match the original markings with the various A B C D serial blocks.
USING A GENERATED SERIAL NUMBER (AMOXXXXX) OR STRAYING FROM THE ORIGINAL SERIAL FORMAT WILL NOT USE THIS FONT, AND INSTEAD USE OUR STANDARD LIKE ON AK RECEIVERS.
Example pictures to be posted soon. I can't stress enough how busy we are at the moment.
Semi Auto
All our receivers are designed to be semi auto in the same as the original sporters and are machined as such.
Sporter FCGs should work in our receivers, and we are producing new housings that retain the original military look but work in semi auto versions.
We will offer services to convert your FCG parts, modifying and swapping what is needed. More information to come.
Misc
Barrels are in production, and we will update more on those when we can.
922r
For those concerned with 922r, US made followers and floorplates are being produced that just drop in for builds with US barrels. For those with original barrels, you will need another US made part to replace one of the foreign ones in the list.
No original parts will be tossed, and for any rifle builds etc, the original parts will be returned to the owner should their build or the regulatory situation change.
