FCG Drill Jig Spacer Instructions

The spacing from front for the FCG hole positions between Polish and some older US blanks is different - which is why we have advertised that our drill jigs are NOT designed for US blanks. The solution has been spacer tubes that fit over the guide pin to hold the US blank in the proper position.

However, our stampings change and get updated over time, so our current (7/22/26) US 47 blanks are like the Polish embossings, and no longer require the spacer tube. US 74 blanks still require the tube.

The difference also applies to layout guides! Polish style embossings will not require US layout guides, but the older US style will!

The classic "X and Y" markings used to reinforce the receiver and support the axis pins for the FCG components.

In comparison, this is the US style that was previously on our 47 blanks, still present on 74 blanks:

Notice how these differ - the leftmost "Y" now has uneven stalks, and the rightmost is a "V" instead of a "Y" now, lacking the stem. These blanks are the ones the spacer tubes and US layout guides are for.

If you have a blank with the "V" style embossing, you simply slide the tube over the front locating pin. The thickness of the tube will then keep the blank back the proper distance.
