Customer Build - Brad Spence

I'm pleased to show off two incredible rarities, a 1968 Soviet Tula AKM-47, and a 1968 Soviet Izhevsk AKM-47. I've been shooting and working on AKs for 25+ years, and I've done several partial builds in the past. This week, I was fortunate enough to do a 1 on 1 build class with Jeremy McGee of Advanced Weapon Systems, and under his expert guidance, brought these rifles back to life. Features on both rifles are the same. Each rifle is outfitted with as many original parts as 922(r) will allow. Rod Childers from Childers Guns provided the custom receivers. Triggers are ALG Defense AKTs, and the slant brakes are the ubiquitous Tapco Slants, for originality's sake. The magazines are original Tula & Izhevsk Bakelite with US followers and floorplates. Each rifle is finished in Graphite Black Cerakote.
